Ayama's Vision, Mission & Ethics

Vision

At Ayama – Centre for Re:Connective Arts, we nourish a regenerative and reconnective culture of embodied living and loving, deeply rooted in self-inquiry and -empowerment, awareness, authenticity, loving kindness, mutual aid and co-creation. We envision a culture that embodies The Art of Re:Connective Loving in every aspect of life, a culture that consciously co-creates a transformative web of love that heals and transcends individual and collective trauma and transforms the current system built on and perpetuating disconnection, trauma, dominance, scarcity, fear, exploitation and degeneration.

Mission

Ayama – Centre for Re:Connective Arts is committed to research, experimentation, education, and the dissemination of knowledge, methods and tools in the realm of Re:Connective Arts. We follow our mission in the following ways:

  • Empowerment and Awareness: Develop, facilitate, and continually refine methods and tools for self-empowerment, self-awareness, self-inquiry, relationship, trust and community building, social and cultural transformation and (spiritual) growth.
  • Service to Life and Regeneration: Work in service of a vision where The Art of Re:Connective Loving and Living actively contributes to the regeneration of culture and life and to transforming, healing and transcending the toxic aspects of a disconnected and alienated culture.
  • Practice Holistic Transformation beyond Reproduction: Integrate a diverse array of transformative and reconnective approaches, modalities and methods into our research and offerings that integrate and address mind, body, soul, heart and spirit. In our work, we recognize the importance of being aware of, addressing and transcending the current system’s (socio-)psychopathological patterns rather than (unconsciously) reproducing their harmful effects.
  • Cultivate Connection and Community: Foster a vibrant and inclusive community of trust and connection, committed to embodying and practising the principles of Re:Connective Arts, fostering compassionate connection with oneself, with others and with Mother Earth.

Ayama wants to serve a movement towards healing, regeneration and reconnecting with the essence of our shared humanity – love and connection. Together, we strive to co-create a culture that rises above the shadows of trauma and truly embodies the transformative power of reconnective loving.
